How to bring more light into your home redesign
Most of us dream of a home with lots of bright airy spaces to enjoy but that’s not always easy if your property doesn’t get much natural light. With a big renovation you may want to include things such as a skylight or light tunnels to increase the light you get in your space but these options aren’t cheap so can be out of reach if you have a small budget.
There are plenty of low cost options that can help improve your indoor areas that have limited access to natural light, these could be a simple as choosing light colours for your ceilings and walls as well as furniture as light colours help to reflect the light round the room. Hi shine surfaces also help with that and can look very effective in kitchens and bathrooms particularly. Using a few different light sources can also help so add lamps and wall lights as well as your main light fittings to create mood lighting suitable for different time of day.
Well placed mirrors can enhance the light in darker rooms to making the most of artificial lights if the mirror is placed near them and mirrored trays for your candles to sit on are also a must in creating more light in your room too.
