Patio or Lawn?
This is a question that many people will ask themselves each year before they redo their garden and the fact is there are benefits for both.
Lawns are great in the summer, they make for safe play areas for children, and they work really well with flower borders. The combination of the two can give your garden vibrant bright colours. There is a drawback with a lawn, and the word is ‘maintenance’. A lawn will need to be mowed frequently and revived if parts seem to be dying.
Patios are perfect if you want a low maintenance garden, one that will only require a sweep at best. However weeds are hard to get rid of so laying down weed killer every few months is about as difficult as it can get. One problem with patios comes with look, and while there are many different styles, but they can often look rather industrial, and occasionally bland.
