Are your renovations not going to be finished in time?
Often with renovation work there are delays which cannot be foreseen. The bigger the project the more likely there are to be delays. It may be that you had planned to have all the work done and dusted by Christmas time but as time goes on it is looking less likely that it is all going to be finished. This may leave you feeling stressed and panicked, especially if you are going to be having guests over during the festive period.
There is no point in getting upset about it if there is nothing that can be done to hurry it along. At this point you need to sit down with the builders or trades men and work out what the priorities are that need to be done. It may be that you decide to focus on getting one room finished completely or that you just want all of it to a point where it is water tight and secure so you can put items back in there that may be cluttering up your living space.
Sometimes it is better to not start any big jobs when coming up to a special occasion if you are concerned that it may ruin the day if work is not complete.
